As an authorized distributor for Dow Chemical’s DOWFROST and DOWTHERM heat transfer fluids, Hubbard-Hall offers several concentrations ready to ship in sizes from truck loads, 55-gallon drums, and 5-gallon pails.
Why Hubbard-Hall & Dow?
Many other heat transfer fluids are referred to as “the same as Dow’s”, but do they contain valuable additives like a copper inhibitor? What about nitrates, borates, and silicates? Dow’s patented inhibitor package includes a dispersant (hard water stabilizer), which is not found in any other inhibited glycols.

DOWFROST HD™
- DOWFROST HD heat transfer fluid is a formulation of 94.0 percent propylene glycol and a specially designed package of industrial corrosion inhibitors. The fluid is dyed bright yellow to aid in leak detection. Solutions in water provide freeze protection to below -50ºC (-60ºF) and burst protection to below -73ºC (-100ºF).

DOWFROST™
- DOWFROST is a propylene glycol-based fluid that contains a specially formulated package of industrial inhibitors that help prevent corrosion. Because propylene glycol fluids have low acute oral toxicity, DOWFROST is often used in applications where contact with food or beverage products could occur.

DOWTHERM SR 1™
- DOWTHERM SR 1 is an ethylene glycol-based fluid that is widely used for secondary cooling and heating applications, for freeze and burst protection of pipes, and for various deicing, defrosting, and dehumidifying applications. DOWTHERM SR 1 contains a specially formulated package of industrial inhibitors that help prevent corrosion.
